Frequently Asked Questions
How does Hendari Tag work?
Hendari Tag uses Bluetooth Low Energy and a global crowd-sourced network (Apple Find My on iOS, Google Find Hub on Android) to help you locate items — even when they're far away. Attach one to anything you don't want to lose.
Does Hendari Tag work with iPhone and Android?
Yes. iPhone users get Apple Find My integration out of the box (iOS 14.5+). Android users use Google Find Hub (Android 9+). Setup takes about 60 seconds — see our setup guide.
How long does the battery last?
Approximately 1 year under normal use. Uses a standard CR2032 coin cell — easily replaceable at any store. No charging needed.
Is Hendari Tag waterproof?
Yes. IP67 rated: protected against dust and submersion in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. Splash, rain, and brief drops are no problem.
Can someone track me with a Hendari Tag?
No. Hendari follows the Apple-Google industry specification for detecting unwanted location trackers. iPhones and Android phones will automatically alert you if an unknown Hendari Tag is traveling with you for 8–24 hours. The tracker also emits an audible chime when separated from its owner. See our safety page for how to disable an unknown tracker.
How loud is the find-it alarm?
120 dB at 10 cm — about as loud as a smoke detector. You can hear it through a couch cushion, jacket lining, or thin wall.
Where can I buy Hendari?
On Amazon: Hendari Storefront. Prime shipping, 30-day Amazon returns, and the same 1-year manufacturer warranty.
What if I lose my Hendari Tag itself?
Your Hendari Tag is itself trackable through Find My / Find Hub. As long as it has battery and is within Bluetooth range of any participating phone in the network, you can locate it. Coverage is densest in urban areas — Find My alone has over a billion active devices worldwide.
