Troubleshooting
Tag doesn't appear when I scan
- Confirm the plastic battery tab has been pulled all the way out
- Press the button once to wake the tag — you should hear a chime
- Hold the tag within 30 cm of your phone
- Make sure no other phone has it paired (factory reset: press 5 times within 2 seconds — see tracker safety page)
Tag pairs but won't show location
- Wait 1–2 minutes for the first location ping
- Take the tag outside or near a window so another participating phone can relay its position
- Confirm your phone has internet access
Battery indicator says low after a few weeks
- The included CR2032 cell may have been on the shelf for months before reaching you. Replace with a fresh CR2032 (any drugstore) and you'll get the full ~1 year battery life.
